From Shoe Box To Jewelry Box In Less Than 15 Minutes!

Creating something useful with your own hands has its own charm and is considered to be a therapeutic exercise. With the boom of e commerce and relaxed trade restrictions, it is now easier than ever before to buy anything we want. Yet, the joy of shopping is nothing compared to the joy of a home baked cake, a hand sewn dress or a handmade custom jewellery box! Plus, it saves a lot of your money. Read on to create a simple, easy and space saving organizer to store your jewelry creatively and protect their sheen from fading.
The best part about such jewelry boxes is that you will find all the supplies at home. Spending lots of dollars on things that you can make in no time is not worthy at all. So here are the things you’ll need:

·         Shoe box with attached lid or any custom packaging box of approximately the same size
·         PVA glue
·         Glue gun
·         Paint brush or unwanted makeup brush
·         Scissors
·         Printed fabric
·         Plane fabric
·         Two chains
·         Empty foil roll
Time to get crafty!
Step 1: Take the shoe box and unfasten it from the sides so that it lies flat on the surface.
Step 2:  Take the printed fabric and spread it on your workstation. Place the disassembled box on it. Apply glue on the outer side of the lid using the brush and stick the fabric on it. Apply a little glue on the inner edges of the lid to tuck the fabric neatly.
Step 3: Apply glue on the inner side of the box and stick the plane fabric to cover the entire base. When this is satisfactorily done, assemble the box back into its default shape and fasten the edges with glue.
Step 4: Chop any excess cloth sticking from the edges for a fine look and to lock the threads.
Step 5: For the remaining uncovered portions of the box, cut equal sized plain fabric and glue together. By now, you should have the entire box covered with fabric.
Step 6: To make a suspender for your earnings, use the hot glue gun to glue the ends and centre of the chains on the inner side of the lid, horizontally.
Step 7: Cover the empty foil roll with the plain fabric and insert it inside box to store your bangles without fearing to lose any stones or wear and tear.
Your very own jewelry box is ready! Hang your earrings on the lid, put your bangles around the roll and in the remaining space, store your other jewellery. You will be amazed at how much accessories this not-so-expensive custom jewelery packaging can store.
If you wish to sell the boxes but don’t have many basic boxes, you can order them from packaging companies like OXO Packaging that’ll provide attached-lid boxes at very economical rates.
